GD18 SHOW

The „GD18 SHOW“ at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) Gallery showcased the final works of sixteen young designers who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Opening with a reception on May 31st at 5PM, the exhibition ran through June 19th and featured a diverse range of creative projects, including publications, fonts, video and board games, interactive stories, sound projects, and works for the Estonian Academy of Arts itself.</p><p>The projects explored themes like the attention economy, culture jamming, stereotypes, and the uncanny valley. The exhibition also reused furniture from the students' workspace at Estonia pst 7.</p><p>The graduating designers included Kermo Aruoja, Allan Aug, Martina Gofman, Elis Kitt, Kaspar Kuldkepp, Vello Lutter, Oskar Mihhailov, Joosep Noorväli, Anselm Oja, Eva Rank, Johanna Ruukholm, Anastassia Tšepaikina, Nathan Tulve, Karl Uibo, Mathias Väärsi, and Väino Õun. Supervisors for the projects were Ranno Ait, Jaan Evart, Mikk Heinsoo, Ott Kagovere, Daniel Kotsjuba, Moonika Maidre, Sandra Nuut, Norman Orro, Brit Pavelson, Indrek Sirkel, Kert Viiart, and Kerli Virk.</p>

For the „GD18 SHOW“, I worked alongside Vello Lutter on the exhibition's overall design, ensuring a cohesive visual experience. The font used for the event was crafted by Väino Õun. The entire team contributed to making this a memorable showcase of graphic design talent, where creativity met functionality.
